CSI: New York in Second Life
A main part of the opening keynote speech at Virtual Worlds Expo in San Jose was dedicated to the upcoming CSI: New York project in Second Life.
The project was explained by Anthony Zuiker, creator of the series and involves taking the programme and story line into Second Life – tracking a killer and following them in-world.
In terms of convergence, this is really the first example of a main stream TV product using a virtual world platform in a binding fashion. The episode drops this Wednesday in the States and here’s a couple of clips in support.
The first video is the teaser and the second shows some of the upcoming footage. Expect more uplift in North American residents this month.
