174 Major brands now in Second Life

Back in June the number of major brands in Second Life topped 100. Now, as of mid-November this total has reached 174.

The chart below shows entry by month.

Up to the middle of this year, companies in the technology sector were the driving force behind brand growth in SL. In the last couple of months the balance has shifted (for new entrants) towards two main categories:

• Media
• Retail
