Toyota goes to war (weapon of choice = truck)

Toyota is one of a very small number of companies that have used more than one virtual world to place their products.

Their Scion car range is in Second Life in Scion City and also in There, transformed into nightclubs. Toyota Financial Services (TFS) has even opened up Scion Solutions office in Whyville.

Next up, a machinima ad showing their Tacoma truck. The viral spot shows the truck within World of Warcraft with one of the players choosing the Tacoma as a weapon.

This is the latest example of convergence between TV and virtual worlds (more examples here).
