One of my favourite (non major brand) places is Chez Prim and Proper. Its a menswear and lifestyle accessory shop (and has a great range of beachcomber shirts). I think this is one of the best destinations in SL.

US-based Starwood Hotels recently opened the first major brand hotel in Second Life, the Aloft Concept. The real world hotel concept will not be launched until 2008 so this SL version gives people an early glimpse into the loft-style low-cost version.
Heres the main lounge area.no bartenders though.
Adidas takes the kudos along with Reebok for opening one of the first virtual stores in Second Life promoting official real-world branding footwear.
The SL Adidas store sells the a3 Microride. Like the real-life shoe, ?¢‚ǨÀúthe ultimate blend of bounce and flexibility with minimum weight..with special powers.and without the trainer odour.
This is a great example of an interactive experience within Second Life. At the mlb(.com) managed SL Yankee Stadium, famous games are actually re-enacted.and you can watch.

Reuters opened their office in Oct06 and the bureau plans to report on news events within SL. Theyve even appointed a bureau chief, Adam Reuter as the in-world reporter.
